A small number of fishing boats are in the Harbour at Hera, 25 minutes east of Dili.
We are working with the boat owners to allow a small number of tourists to join the fishing expeditions which take place most days.
You’ll see them place their nets, pull them up and watch as they deal with the catch.
You’ll enjoy a trip out to sea and a rare encounter with people who provide an important food source.
