Boat to Atauro

You can get to Atauro Island via the big boat which goes.

You can usually charter a medium size boat (which go back and forth) but be ready for a rough ride, and take your own life jacket.

You can hire a small boat at various points along the coast

Taxis in Dili

The Taxis in Dili are very cheap 1USD will usually get you anywhere, but if it right across town you should pay 2USD.  You need to agree fares before you go as some drivers will tell you to ride in their cab it is 5 USD.  The cabs are usually scruffy.    Some of the cab drivers do not read, so giving them your location may not have the desired result all the time and they wont always understand
